The Beat Goes On in Pebble

admin Weekly Blog

First, a thank you goes out to all of our clients and viewers who commented on our revamped website.  Very helpful and much appreciated.  While always a work in progress we’re excited about the improvements and the reception in the marketplace.  This week we’ve added an entirely new Restaurant listing in the Local Info section and have activated the New Listings section on the home page – this section will list all properties that have hit the market in the last week for those wanting to track new inventory as it comes to market.  We will also be bringing a great ocean view home to market in Pebble in the next couple weeks – it’s posted on our Discreetly Available section.

Activity continued at a brisk pace in Carmel and Pebble Beach this week with six new sales and two closed. Most of the activity happened in Pebble which had four new sales and two closed, with more movement up the price spectrum– two of the sales this week were at or above $1.9M. We represented the buyers on a great house on MPCC that was listed for $1.995M. The other $1M+ new sales included a single level house up on Sunridge with great views back to Carmel Beach listed at $3.25M and an older house on Trappers Trail that was listed for $1.7M. The two other new sales were both fixers in the upper MPCC area: one on Crescent for $649K and the other for $799K. The two closed sales in Pebble were both in the upper forest: a condo on Ocean Pines went for $415K and a larger house on El Bosque sold for $1.07M after only two weeks on the market.

Carmel activity slowed a bit this week with just one new sale out on Carmel Point. The new sale was a fixer on Carmelo with nice views back to Fish Ranch that, after being on the market for nearly two years, got three offers last week. With a list price of $2.495M, it will be interesting to see the final close price on that house.

There are a few interesting events around town this upcoming week:

  • The Monterey Symphony performing “Anticipation” at the Sunset Center on Saturday night and a matinee on Sunday.
  • The Vanishing Yogi! Virtuoso magician, Bradley Fields, is performing a quixotic magic show at the at the Sunset Center on Wednesday
  • Historian Robert Bellezza will sign copies of his new book, “The Missions of Monterey” this Sunday at River House Books in the Crossroads
  • Next Saturday the Carmel-by-the-Sea Garden Club is having their annual festival at the Sunset Center. There will be an Estate Sale & Potted Plants for sale and two lectures in the main theater.

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend,

Mike, Lynn, Jess.
