So much for sluggish holidays – Pebble Beach jumped off to a solid start in 2015 with 3 new sales and 4 closed sales. The 3 new sales were all in the MPCC area ($2.19M, $1.45M and $1.195M), extending that dominant sector’s demand we saw last year. The 4 closed sales included an older ocean view fixer along prized Crespi Lane, along with 2 in the MPCC area ($1.8M and $1.095M) and a modest rancher in the upper-Forest on Sunridge at $975K. Not a bad start to the year.
The prime parts of Carmel remained much quieter, with zero new sales and one closed sale, the great ocean view contemporary we just closed at $4.525M. We hear a property on Scenic is heading into escrow, extending the great run Scenic had in 2014 – will report on that next week.
