The holidays are in full swing here in Carmel with the annual tree lighting happening at the corner of Junipero and Ocean Avenue downtown tonight. Sales activity has slowed down with the frigid temperatures this week with just one new sale and two closed escrows in all of Carmel and Pebble Beach this week. When including the week prior, there were three new sales in Pebble Beach including an older home with ocean views on Padre that was listed for $4.595M, a contemporary home on Viscaino listed for $1.795M and another contemporary on Sloat listed for $1.299M. Pebble also had two closed sales over the past two weeks including an older contemporary on Hawkins way that closed for $2M and a ranch style home up on Costado that closed for $675K.
All of the recent activity in Carmel has been happening in the Golden Rectangle with two new sales and one closed escrow over the past two weeks. The new sales included a recently renovated split level house on Casanova that’s listed for $2.395M and an older home on Camino Real that’s listed for $1.795M. The only closed escrow was an 800 square foot cottage on Camino Real that sold for $1.1M.
